“I’m going to New York when I grow up!”
This is what Nia Sade said at the age of six. This spunky kid had already put her sights on doing something, not many kids her age imagined doing or even attaining.
Nia Sade Bakari's most recent and memorable roles were Matilda in Alice in Wonderland at Aiea Intermediate School, the Villainess in The Best Play Ever Guaranteed! at La Pietra – Hawaii School for Girls, Caliban in The Tempest at Hawaii Theatre, and playing the part of Ronnette in Little Shop of Horrors – Kaimuki Performance Arts Center. Nia has also hosted her internet radio show called “Nia and Friends” on BlogTalkRadio which allowed her the opportunity to meet and talk with interesting people who she probably would never have met.
Composing lyrics and music, karaoke singing, and playing the piano and viola are only some of the activities Nia likes doing.
Nia Sade always gives thanks for the support she receives from her family and friends every day and hopes she will accomplish most, if not all, of those things she dreams about doing and just “Waiting for Life to Begin.”
